  • What is the weather like in Medellín?
    Medellín is often called the "City of Eternal Spring" due to its mild, spring-like weather year-round. Temperatures usually range from 15°C to 28°C (59°F to 82°F). It will be warmer in the day, but make sure you have a light jacket at night.
  • Is Medellín safe for tourists?
    Popular tourist areas, such as El Poblado and Provenza are generally safe for tourists during the day. However, it is advisable to stay vigilant, avoid isolated areas at night, and take care of personal belongings. Avoid taking out your phone when out in the streets and avoid wearing valuable jewelry and watches. As we say in Colombia no de papaya.
  • What is the currency in Medellín?
    The currency in Medellín is the Colombian Peso (COP). Credit cards are widely accepted in urban areas, though cash is often necessary for taxis, smaller vendors, local markets, and rural areas.
  • Ubers, taxis and transportation.
    We recommend you use Uber (category: Comfort) for added safety measures. If using a taxi, make sure it is your hotel calling it or ask the hotel to arrange transportation. When arriving in Medellín from the airport, please use official taxis if you do not have prearranged transportation. We will provide provide transportation to/from the Click-Clack and Marriott hotels to both wedding events.
